• Create Multiple Song Books or Custom Books and Mix CD and Song Title information between them.  This means that if you want to create "Kids Only", "Country Music Only" or "Christian Songs Only" song books, then it's EASY! 
  
  
• Context Sensitive Help Information for every screen in the program!  Just click the Help button for info on every object in KSB.
  
  

• Searching doesn't get any easier!  The KSB search feature allows you to enter any word or phrase then automatically search all relevant fields at once.  For example: Searching for the word "Alabama" locates all the songs by the band named "Alabama" and the Lynard Skynard song "Sweet Home Alabama".  You can enter the name of the CD, CD Number, Song Title, Band/Artist Name, Category, etc... and search all these fields in one pass!
  
  
  
  

• Once you locate songs, they can be instantly sorted by any field including Track Number, Song Title, Artist/Band, Category, etc. by simply clicking the grid title.  Double-click a song title and instantly display all the songs on the CD the where the song was found.
  
  
• KSB has a variety of "canned" search queries that will display, All Duets, All Vocal Tracks, All Favorite Tracks (These are songs that you can mark as personal favorites), All Duplicate Titles and more!

• And... KSB is still under development...  We plan to add additional song book formats with different looks and layouts to release in the next version.
  
  
  
  
• In addition there are special reports for printing Request Slips (Request slips can be customized with your text.), Inventory Lists and Favorites Lists (Favorites Lists are your personal favorites with CD, Song Title, Song Track and Key Step setting information.
  
  
• Even more printing options allow you include or exclude Duplicate titles and Vocal Tracks.  You can even print Duet and Vocal track only lists in any of the available formats.  A special feature for the KJ Pro allows you to print lists of song titles added to the songbook database after a certain date.  This allows you print "update lists" without having to reprint all the copies of your entire song book!
  
  
• KSB allows you to manage duplicate titles in your song books.  There is always the possibility of having two completely different songs with the same name, so KSB allows you to flag a song as "inactive"  When flagged this way, it will no longer be included in any songbook unless you want it to be.
  
  
• And There's Even More Printing Options! KSB supports Duplex Printing (for printers that have this ability) and automatically "Mirroring the Margins".  This feature allows you print double-sided while automatically shifting the front to back margins to leave space for binders.  (To understand this clearly just download the demo and give it a try using Print preview)  You can also "brand" your song books with top and bottom header text to include company name and contact information.
  
  
• Printed Song Books Can Be Exported to PDF and HTML! Click here to view or download a PDF song book created by KSB. PDFs allow you to easily distribute your song book in a secure file, while HTML allows you to easily incorporate your songbook into a web site.  Song Book data can also be exported and imported from CSV (Comma-delimited Text) files allowing you to easily share CD and Song Title info with other applications such as other karaoke songbook programs, spreadsheets and databases.  This feature also makes it extremely simple to "backup" your songbook data so it can be moved to a safe location.
  
  
         
  
  
• Adding new CD and Song Titles to KSB is easy!  KSB has a huge database of Karaoke CD and Song Titles along with an easy to use interface that allows you to quickly locate and add new CD song titles to your song book.  Primary fields are indexed so that results are returned within seconds.  This interface also collects statistics on every CD in the database including how many songs on each CD are duplicated in your songbook.  This information can be useful when deciding what CDs will give you the most unduplicated songs before you buy them!  The KSB Master database is categorized by genre and has duets and Vocal Tracks pre-flagged. 
  
  KSB also gives you the option of automatically in-activating duplicates as they are added to your song book so you don't have to hunt for them later!  This screen also has a very special search feature called "Full CD Song Title" search.  To use this feature, you enter multiple words from different songs on your karaoke CD.  The program will then return CD titles where the multiple words are located within any song title.  This search is a little slower, but is very accurate and usually returns only one or two matches.
  
  
• Not only does KSB have it's own karaoke CD/Song Title database but it also incorporates access to CDDB.  The CDDB (Compact Disc Data Base) is a free internet based service that provides easy access to song titles from over 500,000 CDs.  The system works by simply inserting a CD into your CD-ROM where KSB will scan it and retrieve the CD and Song Titles into your computer.  For this feature, all you need is an internet connection.  CDDB has over 500,000 CDs in their database.  CDDB works equally well for karaoke and regular audio CDs making KSB ideal for cataloging your audio collection.   All of the sample songs in the Karaoke CD Collection demo were retrieved from CDDB.
  
  
• KSB supports CAVS data and includes many of the popular SCDGs in the Master Song Database.  CAVS data is treated just like regular CDGs and can be mixed with standard CDsb in the same songbook.
  
  
  
  
• KSB has a powerful Import/Export facility that doubles as a simple way to make back-up copies of your song data.  If you are currently using a spreadsheet, database or some other songbook program, this facility will allows you to import your data directly into KSB.  It can also be used to export selected songs from one songbook and import them into a different song book.
  
  (Note: The KSB Master song database is copyrighted and may not be used in any commercial enterprise that competes with "Karaoke Song Book" directly or indirectly.  Custom songbooks created with KSB are excluded from this prohibition.)
  
  
• Another way cool feature for the KJ Pro or anyone hosting a KJ party is the "User Look-up Mode".  In this mode the KSB program becomes a search and request application designed for users.  Users can use KSB to search for songs without the ability to change any data what-so-ever!  The program locks down so tight that even if it is exited and re-started it will remain in User-Mode and can only be exited with a password you provide.
  
  
  
  
  
• Another Major Feature of User-Mode is the ability to allow users to select the songs they want to sing and then automatically submit them to a queue that the KJ can view and manage.  Ideally, all you need is two or more inexpensive laptops connected via a wireless network. At your next party just have all your friends bring their laptops and then the whole song request process can be automated with the benefits of KSB's powerful search facilities!
  
  
• When KSB is being used in "User-Mode", the KJ can monitor songs as they are entered into the queue and delete them as he announces each singer.
